Most couples book six to eight months ahead. In Kerala, this matters more than elsewhere, because weddings cluster onto a handful of auspicious muhurtham dates each year — on those dates most experienced teams are booked at the same time. Once your date is fixed, it is worth checking availability within days rather than weeks.
Yes. We are based in Thrissur and photograph weddings across Kerala, from Guruvayoor and Kochi to Palakkad, Kozhikode and the backwaters. We also work regularly in Bangalore, and have photographed weddings in Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Goa, Ahmedabad and Coimbatore. Travel and accommodation are discussed upfront, never added afterwards.
Yes. We photograph traditional Kerala ceremonies — Nischayam, Nalunniyattu, Thalikettu and the sadya — as well as Marwari, Punjabi and other North Indian weddings, including haldi, mehendi, sangeet and the pheras. Knowing the ritual sequence in advance matters. At a Kerala wedding the thalikettu lasts a few seconds, and there is no second take.
2 Photographers and 2 videographers for a typical wedding day. The number depends on how many functions you are holding and how spread out they are — a single-evening reception needs a different team from a three-day celebration. We confirm the exact crew before you book, not after.
A preview set within 5 days, so you have something to share while the day is still fresh. The full edited collection follows in 2 weeks, with albums and films within a Month. You will not have to follow up to get them.
Packages are built around the number of days and functions being covered. Most include photography, a wedding film, and an album. Tell us your date and the events you are planning, and we will send our current collections.
Can we meet before booking?
Yes, and we recommend it. We are happy to meet in person in Thrissur or over a video call. You are choosing someone to be present at one of the most important days of your life — that should not be decided over email alone.
Most couples have never hired a photographer before. Here is exactly what working with us looks like.
We talk through your ritual sequence, your venue and what matters most to you. If your family’s traditions have their own variations, we want to know them in advance — not discover them on the morning. Where possible, we visit the venue beforehand, at the same time of day as your function, so we already know how the light behaves.
We arrive 3 – 4 hours before the first function and stay until the end of the event.
A typical wedding is covered by 2 photographers and 2 videographers, so nobody has to choose between the bride’s preparation and the groom’s arrival.
We work quietly and stay out of the way. You should remember your wedding, not the photographers at it.
A preview set reaches you within 5 Days, so you have something to share while the day is still fresh.
The full edited collection follows in 2 weeks. Albums and films are delivered within a Month.
You will not have to chase us for any of it.

I was really lucky to come across Talking pictures at a friend’s wedding. They had captured a really special moment, which only lasted for seconds, in such a beautiful heartfelt manner and I immediately knew I wanted them to be there for my Seemantham (baby shower) event.
